- I've gotten a lot of mail about this. Thanks to everybody for your
- suggestions. I'm using 2.0 so I'm limited as to what I can morph. But I
- did use the color gradient surface (with velocity and falloff) which
- produced an interesting effect. But the best look (and easiest to
- manipulate) was using two colored lights and tweeking the envelopes. It
- produced a very nice gradual shift through both colors. The nice part
- about it is getting "back" to the original surface look, simply by turning
- those lights down and the white one up.
-
- I am really surprised how much interest this generated, judging by my
- Email.
- Thanks again you've all been a great help. Incidentally, just to give
- something back, to be accurate, the shift goes from blue to red as you
- approach, and of course red to blue as you recede from an object. And it
- only works in the line of sight of the observer.
